Unplanned Obsolescence

Well, it happened. A Gamer Bling review has been made obsolete.

Gamer Bling has received a sample pack from Alea Tools that contains three new colors that they’re launching at this year’s Gen Con. Before Gamer Bling continues, let’s review the entry for the magnetic markers, shall we?

“Given the variety of game states, you’ll be happy to know that the markers come in 18 different colors. These are the standard male-named colors of, say, green and blue, and not your designer female-named colors like spring cantaloupe or dusty teal.”

Care to guess which colors are being launched at Gen Con?

Gold.

Burgundy.

And teal.

Thankfully, it’s a fairly bright teal, so Gamer Bling has not been totally embarrassed. He must, however, update the review to account for these changes.

On the other hand, if it had been a dusty teal, Gamer Bling could have taken credit…
